Questa è forsa la mia canzone preferita... ok, lo dico anche delle altre 4, però forse questa di più. È la canzone che rende Axl Rose un genio, non importa se poi fa il cazzone in giro, chiunque abbia scritto questa canzone è e rimane un genio.
È stata scritta nel 1990 quando Axl aveva 28 anni (come dice nella canzone).
Il video è stato l'ultimo ad essere realizzato degli "Use Your Illusion", e vi fu anche un singolo (che non sembrerebbe avere avuto una grossa distribuzione in realtà), e fu realizzata anche una VHS con il making del video.

'November Rain' is a song about not wanting to be in a state of having to deal with unrequited love. 'Estranged' is acknowledging it, and being there and having to figure out what the fuck to do. It's like being catapulted out into the universe and having no choice about it and having to figure out what the fuck are you gonna do, because the things you wanted and worked for just cannot happen and there's nothing you can fucking do about it. ('November Rain' è una canzone sul non voler essere nello stato di dover avere a che fare con l'amore non corrisposto. 'Estranged' è l'ammissione di questo, l'esserci e il dover capire cosa cazzo fare. È come essere catapultati fuori nell'universo senza alcuna scelta e dover capire cosa cazzo farai, perché le cose che volevi e per le quali hai lavorato non possono proprio succedere è non ci puoi fare un cazzo.)
